January Science Cafe Cancelled

Due to the incliment weather, the Science Cafe scheduled for tonight (January 10, 2011) has been cancelled.  However, Dr. Leu will be speaking over “Understanding Migraines” this spring.  Please check back for more details and future topics.

Our February Science Cafe will be February 15 (Tuesday) at 7:30. 
Lt. Ken Landwehr is scheduled to speak for our March Science Cafe.  (March 14 at 7:30)

Understanding Migraines- Jan. 10, 2011

Bethany Pringle-Johnson, Carl Hinote, Harry Gregory, and Crystal DeVries are starting a Science Cafe in Wichita with the support of Kansas Citizen’s for Science.  Science Cafes involve face to face conversations about current science with scientists or people in fields involving science.  More about Science Cafes can be found at www.sciencecafes.org The first one in Wichita will be Monday January 10th at 7:30 pm at The Donut Whole (1720 E. Douglass, Wichita, KS).

Dr. Richard Leu will be presenting over the topic “Understanding Migraines.”

Dr. Richard Leu graduated from the University of Iowa School of Medicine in 1974. He completed a Family Medicine Residency at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois in 1977. Dr. Leu was the director of the Via Christi Family Medicine Residency from 1990 – 2009. He currently is a faculty member at the Via Christi Family Medicine Residency and conducts a Migraine Clinic at Via Christi.
